Child actor Iain Armitage took to Instagram to share a photo alongside Jim Parsons, his Young Sheldon costar.
The 14-year-old Big Little Lies alum flashed a megawatt smile in the snapshot and teamed it with a lengthy caption.
'When I heard that @therealjimparsons was appearing on stage in @classicstage‘s production of Man of No Importance, I knew I had to get there,' he said.

He started off by gushing about his love for the Big Apple during the fall season: 'And here is the whole reason I went to NYC! It’s one of my favorite places to go in the autumn, so I’m always looking for an excuse to get there.'
Chatting to his 624,000 followers on the photo-sharing platform, he added, 'I ended up sitting in the front row for a preview performance and it was so, so, so great!'
Then he praised his fellow actor's chops in the off-Broadway show as he noted, 'Jim is astonishing and he’s surrounded by an incredible cast. Honestly, I want to go back and see it all again!'
Engaging with his fans he asked, 'Have you seen it? Will you get to? Please let me know! Jim plays Alfie, a theatre loving bus conductor in Dublin in 1964 in this musical.'

In the photo the two posed side by side as Jim, 49, placed a loving arm around the youngster.
Behind them in the vacant theatre were rows of empty purple seats.
Jim was dressed in a gray-on-gray patterned shirt and blazer combination, and the strap of a backpack was visible over one of his shoulders.
To those reading his thoughtful caption, Iain insisted, 'You’ve never seen Jim Parsons in a role like this.'
'I feel so lucky and happy that i got to go!' he wrote before adding one final line - 'Also, I was so happy to see Jim again!!!'

Armitage has played the younger version of Sheldon Cooper in the Big Bang Theory spinoff since 2017, with Parsons narrating.
The sixth season of the series, which is based in the late 80s, premiered on CBS September 29.
Back in 2021 it was renewed by the network through to a seventh season.
