Demi Moore, 61, is a bare-faced beauty as she holds her dog when landing in Toronto for TIFF... after discussing youth obsession

Demi Moore was a bare-faced beauty as she held on to her dog Pilaf at an airport on Thursday.

The 61-year-old Hollywood icon was in a black jacket, striped shirt, jeans and boots as she arrived at the Toronto Pearson Airport in Canada.

The ex of Ashton Kutcher is in town for the Toronto International Film Festival. There she will present her new movie The Substance, which is about a successful workout enthusiast who gets fired on her 50th birthday.

She then proceeds to take an experimental drug which promises to make her appear more youthful in the hopes of winning her job back.

This comes after the movie icon talked about the world's youth obsession in the new issue of Variety magazine.

'I'm not perfect,' she admitted to Variety. 'Sometimes I'll look at a photo and think, "I look old," or whatever. But I've learned to deal with it.'

A comment from a stranger many years ago helped her cope.

'A stranger once told me something a long time ago that's stuck with me ever since. She said, "You'll never be enough,"' said Moore.

At first that sounds unkind, but there was more.

'She said, "You'll never be enough, but you'll start to know your worth once you put down the measuring stick."'

She is working more than ever these days and that is because she is making her own rules in Hollywood.

'One of the biggest themes of my career is challenging preconceived ideas and limitations,' she told the outlet's Matt Donnelly.

'I'm at a point where I'm writing my own story, as opposed to my story being dictated to me based on my age. Who says somebody can't look a certain way or do certain things? Your 60s is not what your 60s used to be. There's a part of me that's enjoying figuring it out as I go along.'

She posed for the publication to promote her edgy new movie The Substance about a star who injects herself with a black market drug to look younger.

That causes her to turn into a young, bouncy beauty played by Margaret Qualley. But there are issues. And freaky things start happening.

The Substance comes out on September 20.

Elisabeth Sparkle is the star of a popular aerobics show.

She has had decades of massive success.

The icon faces a devastating blow on her 50th birthday as her boss fires her.

Amid her distress, a laboratory offers her a substance which promises to transform her into an enhanced version of herself.

But it is experimental.

Her costars are Qualley - whose mother Andie MacDowell worked with Moore in St Elmo's Fire - and Dennis Quaid.

Moore told Interview she was 'moved' when she read the movie's script. She felt it was 'such a unique way to be exploring this issue of aging, of societal conditioning'

Moore told Interview magazine she was 'moved' when she read the movie's script.

She felt it was 'such a unique way to be exploring this issue of aging, of societal conditioning, of what I also see as the pressure of the male-idealized woman that we as women have bought into.'

She continued, 'At the core of it, what it's really about is what we do to ourselves, and I loved that it was illustrated in such a physical way—showing that violence with what we do with our thoughts, how we attack ourselves and distort things,' she said.

'There's great power in knowing that what we do to ourselves is a choice, and we can make a different choice.

'And for those who aren't looking for such a deep message, it's just entertaining.'

As for the advice she has handed down to her three daughters with Willis, she says, 'It's one of the things I've said to my kids their whole lives: The only true constant in life is change. And it's a process in life of constant acceptance.'

On Thursday, the first trailer for the new series Landman dropped.

The show is set in West Texas and is from Taylor Sheridan, the creator of Yellowstone and Lioness.

Demi stands out as the tough-as-nails glamorous billionaire wife of Jon Hamm's steely oil man Monty Miller.

The actress is seen attending a gala dinner with Hamm, who looks dashing in a suit and tie, and also saying, 'Roll the dice another time,' which indicates she wears the pants in the marriage.

The trailer is headed up by Billy Bob Thornton, however, who is seen first and provides the voiceover. He works on an oil rig which explodes as he warns the business can kill him.

The show will premiere on November 17 on Paramount +.
