Transgender sex killer, 83, says Kansas officials' refusal to let her loose in female prison has given her chronic DIARRHEA

A transgender inmate who pleaded to be moved to a female prison because she was suffering 'chronic diarrhea' and stress has had her request denied by a federal judge.

Michelle Renee Lamb, 83, is serving three consecutive life sentences for abducting two women, strangling one to death and leaving her naked body in a field in 1969.

She is currently being held at the Topeka Correctional Facility in Kansas, having moved from a men's prison in January 2023 when she had gender-affirming surgery.

In November, Lamb filed a lawsuit against Gov. Laura Kelly and the prison warden alleging the isolation is causing her health problems, adding it is her 'basic human need' to be in close contact with other women.

'I also suffered frequent bouts of diarrhea. This was never a problem until I was put into this hateful environment,' Lamb - who previously identified as Thomas - said in the handwritten lawsuit.

'My debilitating stress and anxiety manifest itself with symptoms of feeling light-headed and sometimes dizzy, almost to the point of being vertigo.

Lamb - who was charged with first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated kidnapping - said she experienced high blood pressure and a stress rash on her abdomen due to the prison conditions. She claimed the decision to keep her out of the women's jail amounted to discrimination.

'This status denies me the most basic human need, especially for females: the need to have close contact and relations with other females,' Lamb said.

Court documents viewed by DailyMail.com show during Lamb's intake evaluation she refused to answer questions about the crimes she was convicted of.

The warden said this was a red flag and decided to keep her in restrictive housing because Lambs crimes are violent actions specifically against women, and this would be the first time in 50 years she would be cohabitating with women.

During a post-surgery medical evaluation, Lamb repeatedly asked one of her corrections officer escorts 'if her vagina looked good and natural,' according to court documents.

On July 8, U.S. District Judge John Lungstrum dismissed the case because Lamb failed to show she was being discriminated against, reported The Topeka Capital-Journal.

'Plaintiff has not shown that her housing assignment subjects her to atypical and significant hardship in relation to the ordinary incidents of prison life,' Lungstrum wrote.

'Plaintiff has failed to show good cause why her due process claim should not be dismissed.'

Lamb, who changed her name to Michelle in 2007, was convicted for the 1969 murder of 24-year-old University of Kansas-Missouri student Karen Sue Kemmerly.

She kidnapped and murdered Kemmerly then left her naked body in a field.

One month later, Lamb kidnapped Patricia Ann Childs and held her for $3,500 ransom, allegedly to pay for gender-affirming surgery.

Childs alleged that Lamb raped her, but the criminal was not convicted on that charge.

Lamb also escaped from prison three times, according to The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press.

While awaiting trial in 1970 Lamb and another inmate took four sheriff’s officers captive at gunpoint and escaped with a fifth hostage.

In 1979, Lamb escaped from a Kansas penitentiary and led police on a high-speed chase.

Again In 1987 Lamb escaped from a state hospital, stole a car at knife-point, and led police on another high-speed chase.
