Wendy's brings fan-favorite Frosty flavor back for just ONE DOLLAR - but you have to act quick

Customers can get a small Frosty for $1 until the end of September - after bosses extended a popular deal.

There is no limit to how many of the treats you buy, so you can keep going back.

The dollar Frosty deal ran from August and was due to end on September 15.

But Wendy's have extended it to celebrate the return of the fan favorite vanilla flavor. Bosses have not set an exact date, but it is thought it will run until the end of the month at least.

It fell off the menu in the spring to make way for the triple berry and orange dreamsicle flavors through the summer.

But vanilla Frosty fans have been warned - enjoy its return while it lasts.

A Wendy's spokesperson told People that 'nothing on our menu is meant to last forever' and that they 'don't have an exact date that the vanilla Frosty will roll off of menus.'

Customers wanting a deal that involves savory rather than sweet can take advantage of cheeseburger deals at Wendy's.

Everyone from McDonald's to Burger King to Wendy's had deals for National Cheeseburger day on Wednesday.

Wendy's offer runs through September 22 - with a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger 1 cent with any purchase. The offer is only on the Wendy's app.

Wendy's often brings out flavors for a limited time - often in just certain countries,

In July, Wendy's upset Americans by rolling out a new drink - that was only available in Canada.

The new Frosty Fizz, a combination of Fanta Orange and classic Frosty ice cream, was sold north of the border over the summer.

Summer of fast food deals

Fast food chains reeling from falling customer numbers as Americans fed up with two years of price rises stay away - so are rolling out all these offers.

McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts and Taco Bell have all rolled out new value deals this year.

Last week, Dunkin' Donuts launched its own $6 value meal for the fall season. The offer includes a medium hot or iced coffee, bacon, egg and cheese sandwich, and hash browns.

The value wars were sparked earlier in the summer when McDonald's announced its $5 meal deal, which includes either a McChicken or McDouble, four-piece chicken nuggets, fries and a drink.

It was due to last a month after launching in June, but it has now been extended to December.

Rival Burger King's $5 Your Way Meal offers a choice of one of three sandwiches - a Whopper Jr, a Bacon Cheeseburger or Chicken Jr - plus four chicken nuggets, fries and a soft drink.

Wendy's currently has a $3 breakfast offer and also a four-item $5 meal similar to McDonald's and Burger King's.

Last month, KFC revamped its $5 meal deal as it battles McDonald's and Wendy's, but there's a catch - it doesn't come with a drink.

Popular sandwich chain Jimmy John's is offering a $10 Total Package Meal, which includes an 8-inch sandwich, a fountain drink, chips and a cookie or brownie.

White Castle has slashed the price of its famed sliders to the lowest amount in a decade. The family run business, with 335 locations, is offering ten cheese sliders for $7.99 - more than 30 percent off the regular price.

Starbucks also made a surprise entry into the value war earlier this summer with a coffee and food breakfast combo from $5.

Casual dining chains such as Applebee's have also waded into the value meal market in an attempt to pinch customers from fast food rivals such as McDonald's.

The move to compete with fast food chains echoes that of Chilli's which also recently released its new 'Big Smasher' - a bigger version of the Big Mac - that comes with fries and a drink for under $10.
