Namrata Joshi Outlook Most of all, Finding Nemo is a touching tale which reassures you that even though things may look bleak, it will all turn out well in the end. Rated: 3/4 Jan 4, 2019 Full Review Neil Norman London Evening Standard Finding Nemo offers as much in terms of thrills, frights, humour and psychological insight as it does in pure technical skill, proving that a movie can be art without being an "art" movie. Jan 11, 2018 Full Review Sukhdev Sandhu Daily Telegraph (UK) A splendid eco-friendly comedy set in the Great Barrier Reef. Jul 29, 2015 Full Review Cory Woodroof For the Win (USA Today) Outside of being one of the greatest animated films of its generation, it’s got a delightful sense of humor. Aug 4, 2023 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Pixar's Finding Nemo elevated their already visionary and pioneering output to the thematic level of Hayao Miyazaki. TROY S It's an epic journey filled with adventure and discovery that encompasses the grandest sweep of ocean vastness and the smallest longing of the heart. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/17/24 Full Review Jace E This is it. This is my favorite Disney movie of all time. I could write an entire dissertation on why I think that "Finding Nemo" is a perfectly written masterpiece. I'm not going to go that far, but let's start in the opening scene. The introduction to Marlin's character and the motivation behind his desire to keep Nemo safe is absolutely perfect. "I promise I will never let anything happen to you... Nemo." Transition that to the emotional gut punch of Nemo saying, "I hate you" followed closely with Marlin's frantic sprint through the ocean. From there, the A-story continues to push forward following the brilliant foreshadowing from their way to school. <i>"If I ever meet a sea turtle I'll ask him, after I'm done talking to the shark."<i> On the flip side, the B-story is just as strong as Marlin's journey. From the moment Nemo says <i>"Has anyone seen my dad?"<i> in the tank to the glorious revelation from Nigel that Nemo's dad is looking for him, Nemo's growth and the life in the tank is excellently done. Finish it all off with the reunion, Nemo's selflessness, Marlin letting him go, the "just keep swimming" (merging what both Nemo and Marlin have learned in their journey) and the culminating moment of "Dad, I don't hate you." This film is perfect. If that wasn't enough, tie it all together with a phenomenal score by Thomas Newman and you have not only my favorite animated movie, but potentially my favorite movie of all time. Best Character: Nemo Best Quote: "Just. Keep. Swimming." Best Scene: The Finale Best Piece of Score: "Nemo Egg" Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/16/24 Full Review Michele M Finding Nemo is a movie that has a very interesting plot (unlike movies like "Brave" and "The Good Dinosaur") with decent characters. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/05/24 Full Review Kim C Outstanding and a definite top 5 favourite. All the emotions are felt throughout the movie. Just amazing work Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/31/24 Full Review Faiz D All in all this is another success for Disney and Pixar, It brings out the child in all of us.
