Steve Golin was an American film and television producer.

Golin began his career in the mid-1980s when, along with partner Joni Sighvatsson, he launched Propaganda Films, which, at the height of the MTV era quickly established itself as a powerhouse in music videos and commercials. It was there that Golin helped discover and encourage future filmmakers such as David Fincher, Spike Jonze, Michael Bay, and Antoine Fuqua.

It was there that Golin helped discover and encourage future filmmakers such as David Fincher, Spike Jonze, Michael Bay, and Antoine Fuqua.

In 1999, after selling Propaganda Films, Golin founded Anonymous Content, building an impressive roster of talent including filmmakers Steven Soderbergh, Alfonso Cuarón and Cary Fukunaga, and actors such as Emma Stone, Mahershala Ali, Winona Ryder and Samuel L. Jackson.

Golin received three Best Picture Oscar nominations for producing Babel (with Brad Pitt), The Revenant (with Leonardo DiCaprio), and Spotlight (with Michael Keaton), the latter two of which were nominated in 2015. He took home the award for Spotlight.

Golin earned three Emmy nominations for his television work, which included the series True Detective, Mr. Robot, 13 Reasons Why, The Alienist, and Catch-22.

Golin died April 21, 2019, in Los Angeles, California. He was 64.
