Meet the Team

The USA TODAY Wine Club team is comprised of wine professionals rooted deeply in the industry. Representing legacy wine clubs and innovative direct-to-consumer brands, the team has more than 50 years' wine club experience.

Wine selections are guided by an expert team of Court of Master Sommeliers (CMS) and Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) certified professionals. Additionally, this team leverages extensive relationships with wineries and winemakers which have been cultivated over decades.

Gerri-Lynn Becker

Gerri has been a key figure at The California Wine Club, one of the most established wine clubs in the industry, for decades. Her roles have spanned customer service, sales, marketing, and operations. With years of experience and countless miles exploring California’s wine country, her deep connections with local winemakers and expert tasting skills bring unique value to the USA TODAY Wine Club.

Swati Chandra

With a decade of experience launching consumer experiences for some of the world’s leading brands, including other media backed wine clubs, Swati plays a crucial role in bridging Gannett and the USA TODAY Wine Club. Her expertise in curating memorable experiences ensures members receive thoughtfully selected wines from local and independent wineries.

In addition to her work in the consumer products, Swati is a passionate advocate for food and nutrition equity, with over 20 years of cross-sector experience in both the private and public sectors.

Holly Berrigan

Holly Berrigan is the founder of MYSA Natural Wine. As a serial entrepreneur and sustainable agriculture student, she's built a platform focused on sustainable consumption through partnerships with organizations like 1% for the Planet and The Carbon Fund. She has a WSET Level 3 certification with Distinction, Level 1 certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers and is a member of Slow Food USA and writer for the Porto Protocol, as well as a student in Sustainable Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts

Whitney Grant

Whitney, your curation specialist at USA TODAY Wine Club, hails from Portland, Oregon. Her love for wine began with family visits to wineries in the Umpqua and Willamette Valley alongside her Dad and Grandpa. Since entering the wine industry in 2019, Whitney has earned her WSET Level 2 certification and is currently pursuing Level 3. Despite the credentials, she’s a down-to-earth, dog-loving wine enthusiast, often accompanied by her English bulldog, Bubba Duke. Whitney is excited to bring her passion for wine to members and looks forward to curating exceptional wines for everyone to enjoy.

Beau Harris

Beau is deeply rooted in the wine industry. Raised in the heart of Napa Valley, California, and spending formative years in Bordeaux, France, Beau's wine journey began at a young age. He started working in tasting rooms at 16, gaining hands-on experience with wineries, and wine clubs. With a degree in Wine & Viticulture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a WSET Level 2 certification, Beau brings his lifelong passion to the USA TODAY Wine Club, curating wines that reflect quality and a true sense of place.
