File:The Mind of Jake Paul Poster.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Coasterdude1 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Fan made poster; it contains a picture [middle] from the copyrighted documentary The Mind of Jake Paul. That picture could be uploaded as fair use or the original poster (that this one is based off) could be uploaded as fair use. Abequinn14 (talk) 19:41, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Abequinn14: Why? I didn’t have any problem with it. Coasterdude1 (talk) 19:48, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Coasterdude1: Because you used a copyrighted image in your freely licensed image, which is a copyright violation.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Abequinn14 (talkcontribs) 20:03, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Coasterdude1: Do you have the ability to edit the raw layered image? If so, then I suggest simply replacing the photo of Jake Paul you used with this rather similar one. The image of the "skull" should be fine (especially if you used a CCO image, if not then we can just call it {{PD-Shape}}/{{PD-medical}}. Then you can re-upload to commons and replace the license with CC-BY-3.0 or 4.0. That way it is a completely free image to use on all our language Wikipedias! Cheers, –MJLTalk 21:09, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
To clarify, the image currently exists in limbo. While you own the copyright to the transformative work (the whole thing), Shane Dawson owns the copyright on that one picture of Jake Paul's face. I ran into a similar issue with File:Two Gormiti figures.jpg. While I took the photo (much like you made the poster), I featured the work of someone else (in my case it was the toys themselves, but in yours it is the photo of Jake Paul). Hope that helps clarify things! :D –MJLTalk 21:13, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. A fan-made fake poster is not good for identification of the topic. Please use something real and official. If there is no official poster, use something else. The title screen (which is included in this image) alone should be good enough and would meet NFCC. – Finnusertop (talkcontribs) 08:24, 29 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

File:Uganda cricket team logo.png (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by SAFSOFFICIAL (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

I have been unable to verify that this image has been released into the public domain as claimed by the uploader. The source is simply a profile picture on a facebook page, I can find no release of permissions there, and the uploader has no apparent connection to Cricket Uganda. I also found no release on the Cricket Uganda home page http://www.cricketuganda.world/index.php Their intent may be to release it (I see no copyright notice) but unless we can verify that I think we have to assume that this is a copyrighted logo. I'll be happy to withdraw this if someone can spot a permission I missed. Meters (talk) 19:50, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
