- Keep Meets WP:NCOLLATH as he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame and awarded the Maxwell Award. Plus tons of coverage in Newspapers.com ([1]). BeanieFan11 (talk) 14:55, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- Keep Easily meets WP:NCOLLATH/WP:GNG thru a simple historical archival search. Needs improvement, not deletion. SportingFlyer T·C 15:16, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- Speedy keep clearly passes WP:GNG and WP:NGRIDIRON. Nominator references WP:NFOOTBALL but that's the other kind of football and doesn't apply.--16:27, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- Keep. Easily passes WP:NCOLLATH as 1950 winner of the Maxwell Award as the best college football player in the USA and as an inductee into the CFHOF. Cbl62 (talk) 17:56, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- Speedy keep: Won a significant college award. Easy pass of WP:COLLATH. Etzedek24 (I'll talk at ya) (Check my track record) 00:10, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
- Keep. Easily meets WP:GNG and WP:NCOLLATH as a winner of the Maxwell Award and a member of the College Football Hall of Fame. The guideline cited by the nominator is indeed for a different sport entirely, and is completely irrelevant here. Ejgreen77 (talk) 11:03, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
