Dude! Those are so awesome!!! Wow! Very creative. I couldn't find any errors other than a typo here and there. I'm just surprised that I inspired somebody. The correct unit for windspeeds in the NWP is knots, as that is what the JMA (and JTWC) both use operationally. For PAGASA and CMA storms, the correct windspeed unit is km/h. Chacor 01:11, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lol. No, no I'm not busy, I was trying to get back to you for a while, but, I have AOL, and I got blocked. Then I had to go to oreintaion for high school.... (sigh) Life. It is possible for a hurricane to go through Tornado Alley and spawn dozens of tornadoes, But I must have missed the sentence saying Emily did that. As for the southern storm, It's very interesting and really unusually large, but its waaaaaaaaaaaay too cold there for tropical develpoment. I do admit that this storm does look quite subtropical, but it's most likey a polar cyclone. Very cool idea on the South Atlantic storm! Looks good! Nice articles! Just as an additional thought: This is useful, working in your personal space, otherwise you'd end up with poorly-written articles (like Chris). Oh, and as another note, if you do decide to take my advice, wwhen you finish the article in your personal space, please don't copy-and-paste over the redirect, rather, get an administrator to move it for you, so that it doesn't violate the GFDL. Chacor is right here. The best way to make an article is a few days after the event when there is some actualy information on the storm; you didn't actually add any new content to article beyond what is in the season. When Chacor recreated the Ewiniar article, he had waited some time for info to become available - and the article was much better as a result. I agree with him, if you want to make an article make it up in a user subpage. Oh, saying things like Saomai is the Katrina of China is highly inappropriate, it makes you seem like you want that to happen.--Nilfanion (talk) 11:04, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm glad that the block that crossed your path the other day has disappeared and you are able to edit again. All the administrators who have seen this page have confirmed that you didn't do anything wrong and the block had nothing to do with you. I suggest that you remove the "unblock" template that is now on the top of this page, or at least move it to the bottom of the page. Uh, have you taken a look at the Atlantic recently? How can you say that we're in an El Nino? The Atlantic is above average! Normal seasons, at least normal seasons since the active cycle started in 1995, typically have 4 storms by the end of August. We have 5. The EPAC is about average as well. In the last couple of years, having the I storm by the end of August is very normal. How can you say there's an approaching El Nino without any data to back it up? Waters near the EPAC equator is about normal, without any abnormal warmth. I don't know why you would think this year is below normal. Hurricanehink (talk) 20:33, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Alastor Moody: As someone mentioned above, there has been a "Request for Comment" filed about you. This is also called an "RfC" for short. It was filed a few days ago, and you haven't responded yet. I have no involvement at all with the request for comment, and came across the page originally when I was looking for something else, but since you haven't answered I thought I would post here and remind you that it's there. Filing a request for comment against a user means that one or more other editors of Wikipedia think there is a problem with something that you have been doing in your editing. On the RfC page they will have explained what they think the problems are. You are being offered a chance to respond to them and you should think seriously about doing it. In your response, you should say whatever you think is important to help the other editors understand your editing. If you had a good reason for doing something they disagreed with, you should say what it was. If you realize you did something you shouldn't have and you agree you won't do it again, you should say that. I haven't edited the hurricane articles you specialize in, so I don't really have anything to say about the substance of the RfC, but I want you, like anyone else contributing to Wikipedia, to get along with the other people who are interested in the same topic you are. No one says that you should change who you are or what your interests are, but you may need to make some changes to how you contribute to Wikipedia.
