Being: Mike Tyson is a six episode cable television series co-produced by Asylum Entertainment and Fox Sports about former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson. Part of Fox Sports Originals' Being series, it is an all-access documentary-style look at not only Tyson's career as boxer, but also the controversies and problems that he has had to deal with outside of the ring.[1][2] The first episode premiered on the Fox Sports 1 network on September 22, 2013 and the final episode aired on October 22, 2013. Tyson has stated that the series was an opportunity to help people realize that he is looking forward, not backward, and that "'Iron Mike' is dead and I'm doing something else now and that's just what it is."[3][4]
