Location, location, location

[edit]

I sorted out what I could about the location of Kernville, but I'm still a little unclear on whether I got it right. It seems the town moved twice, once across the river, then down the river upon completion of U.S. 101, from north to south to north again (judging by the map). A little original research and a trip to the local history museum might be in order. Also, are there still houses in the "new" Kernville? Any help, especially some other print sources, would be excellent. Thanks! Katr67 22:43, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not a ghost town

[edit]

Hey, I live near it. It's not a ghost town. Who ever said it, does not know what they are talking about. Take it off. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jumpacliff2 (talkcontribs) 12:45, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First, please read about civility. The term ghost town is not designed to offend people. Did you read the definition of ghost town? It is not just for places with no people but places that have had a great reduction in population. Besides, it was the "old" part of Kernville that is considered a ghost town. Please read the article carefully and if you have any cited information about the town from reliable sources that isn't original research, please add it to the article. Thanks!
