  • ... that during War of the Lombards fighting was interrupted so that the corpse of the besieged Queen Alice could be handed over to her husband who had never seen her alive?
Source: "During the siege she was taken ill and died ; and the fighting was interrupted while her corpse, dressed as became a queen, was ceremoniously handed over and borne to Nicosia for a royal burial by the husband who had never known her living." ([1])

  • Review in progress. @Surtsicna: has added to a tiny stub (by @Aciram: and using a Fr:wiki translation and some fine sources s/he has created this article. All the sources are offline so AGF. Length and age are fine (and I assume no close paraphrasing). There was a coat of arms in the article but that has gone - not sure why, but now there is no image. Intriguing hook which I have shortened (feel free to revert). Sorry for delay. thx Victuallers (talk)
User:Cwmhiraeth, User:Victuallers shouldn't "War of the Lombards" be preceded by "the"? TSventon (talk) 10:22, 30 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:28, 30 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
