Suspected sockpuppets

edit

Suspected block evade. Jamesation is a very recently blocked COI user who is only interested in boosting groups associated with the post-2019 incarnation of Committee for a Workers' International (CWI).

IP is US-based and has a single edit in an AfD discussion for an extremely minor Irish political organisation that is part of CWI. Rambling Rambler (talk) 14:57, 17 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Decline checkuser - we don't connect IP accounts to users. PhilKnight (talk) 15:25, 17 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • One IP edit to an AfD is not much behaviour to compare notwithstanding an apparent common interest in left-wing organisations. I don’t understand the reference to the IP being US based, had Jamesation said they were US based? --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 21:53, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Malcolmxl5 it was more how exceedingly odd it felt that a random person in Detroit would suddenly take an interest in keeping an article for an extremely niche, non-notable, fringe far-left group in Ireland (that is affiliated to CWI) that has no history of electoral representation, where they are seemingly arguing that the article would be fine if information from the group's website was added.
And all this happened less than 48 hours after Jamesation was banned for adding significant amounts of self-published content to other CWI groups and getting involved in AfDs arguing against the removal of articles covering other non-notable CWI affiliates.
Maybe not WP:DUCK obvious but certainly akin enough that both sound like waterfowl, if you get my meaning. Either way the fact the range has been blocked for vandalism makes this redundant regardless. Rambling Rambler (talk) 21:43, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disposed dynamic IP. Nothing to do, closing. Vanjagenije (talk) 21:38, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
