Adding news personalities

[edit]

Hello, in regards to your edits at WNYW, please read the following:

Lists of people must meet the criteria listed at WP:LISTPEOPLE. Articles have been protected to prevent these additions, or the editors in question blocked when they persistently continue to reinsert inappropriate material. If a name is included in the article in this way, it has to show that it's relevant to the subject by meeting WP:LISTPEOPLE. Just because a station lists its employees doesn't mean Wikipedia needs to as well, and other station articles needing similar cleanup doesn't mean this one doesn't need to be cleaned up, because whenever it's actually discussed on a station article, the end result is the same; the names that don't meet WP:LISTPEOPLE are removed. Wikipedia is also not a directory. See here, here, and here for previous discussions about this.

In other words, if they do not have a Wikipedia article, they are not notable. Also as mentioned above, Wikipedia is NOT a TV GUIDE, so saying they are the evening anchor or 6 O'Clock anchor is not allowed. Thanks and happy editing! Corkythehornetfan 19:09, 18 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Using inaccurate or inappropriate edit summaries

[edit]

Information icon Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours has an edit summary that appears to be inaccurate or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Thank you.--Quisqualis (talk) 06:49, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
