‘Workin’ Moms’
Catherine Reitman’s comedy series isn’t quite fun for the whole family, but it sure is fun. Originally broadcast in Canada, Workin’ Moms follows four mothers as they transition back to their everyday lives from maternity leave. As the women attempt to establish a sense of normalcy, they’re confronted with job stress, spouse drama, and some harsh realities of motherhood that threaten to undo them altogether. Workin’ Moms handles its often-serious subject matter with a refreshing sense of humor and empathy, two traits that help it stand out in the increasingly crowded “Women Really Can Have It All” genre.
