‘Tell Me Lies’ Season 2
Meaghan Oppenheimer’s Tell Me Lies, based on Carola Lovering’s novel of the same name, is back for Season 2. And if you’re looking for an unapologetically sexy show that explores serious issues like toxic relationships, emotional abuse, sexual assault, and more, you’ll want to add the Hulu hit to your watch list. Season 2 takes us back to 2008 to follow friends Lucy (Grace Van Patten), Bree (Cat Missal), and Pippa (Sonia Mena) in their sophomore year of college. As they navigate relationships with upperclassmen including Lucy’s ex Stephen (Jackson White), his girlfriend Diana (Alicia Crowder), Pippa’s ex Wrigley (Spencer House), and Bree’s boyfriend Evan (Branden Cook), chaos ensues — especially when new love interests Leo (Thomas Doherty) and Oliver (Tom Ellis) enter the picture. Scenes set in 2015 allow viewers to check in with the group post-college, see what’s changed, and crucially, what hasn’t. It may be sophomore year, but with addicting storylines, compelling relationship dynamics, moving performances, and a soundtrack that slaps,Tell Me Lies successfully avoids a sophomore slump.
