‘Diner’
Throughout his career Mickey Rourke, who turns 64 today, has been a biker, a boxer, a robber/restauranteur and much more, but in 1982’s beloved Diner, Rourke was simply Boogie, a gambling-inclined member of a group of twenty-something pals in 1959 Baltimore. Barry Levinson’s directing debut was the first of his series of Baltimore-based films and also stars Steve Guttenberg, Kevin Bacon, Paul Reiser, Tim Daly, Daniel Stern, and Ellen Barkin.
