‘A Clockwork Orange’
Ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence? Gather your droogs, turn up the old Ludwig Van, and viddy Stanley Kubrick’s cinematic adaptation of Anthony Burgess’ 1962 dystopian-as-fuck novel, A Clockwork Orange. Newly added to Amazon Prime (along with a bunch of other Kubrick classics like Barry Lyndon and Paths Of Glory), this 1971 film retains its power to shock and awe with its graphic (and myriad) depictions of rape, violence, and general debasement. Perhaps not quite the perfect movie to watch with your loved ones this Thanksgiving, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a perfect film (because it is).
