'Trolls Band Together'

Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick reprised their roles for this new, colorful installment of the Trolls franchise. Trolls Band Together follows Poppy (Kendrick) and Branch (Timberlake) after she discovers that he and his brothers were all part of her favorite boyband, BroZone. When Branch’s brother Floyd gets kidnapped, Branch, Poppy, and his brothers must set out to rescue Floyd from the nefarious wannabe pop stars who captured him. This jukebox comedy features music from Timberlake, the Backstreet Boys, Dolly Parton, NSYNC, and more.

'Shark Tale'

Everyone knows and loves Shark Tale, but who knew it was technically a mob drama? Will Smith stars as Oscar, an underachiever who takes credit for the death of a mob-connected great white shark called Frankie (played by Sopranos star Michael Imperioli). While Oscar’s busy basking in the glory of being named “Sharkslayer,” Frankie’s father (Robert De Niro) sends his goons to hunt him down. The star-studded animated feature also includes Angelina Jolie, Jack Black, Renée Zellweger, and Martin Scorsese in the cast.

'The Super Mario Bros. Movie'

The iconic story of the Super Mario Brothers is finally told in this epic animated feature starring Chris Pratt, Charlie Day, and Anya Taylor-Joy. Mario and his brother Luigi, two plumbers from Brooklyn, find themselves lost in the Mushroom Kingdom where they must go up against King Bowser and his army before they wipe out the Kingdom. But Bowser has a secret of his own, and Mario must save Princess Peach from his clutches before it’s too late.

'Edge Of Tomorrow'

In Edge of Tomorrow, Tom Cruise stars as Maj. Bill Cage, who is recruited into battle though he’s never seen combat. The inexperienced officer quickly dies, only to be revived again and learn he’s forced to live the same day over and over again until he finally succeeds in beating out an alien species known as the “Mimics.” With the help of his colleague (played by a buff Emily Blunt), Cruise gets a new chance every day to beat them once and for all.

'Officer Black Belt'

Officer Black Belt is a Korean action comedy starring Kim Woo-bin as Lee Jeong-do, a delivery guy and secret martial arts prodigy who gets recruited by the local police to help them fight crime. With the help of his new sidekick, probation officer Kim Seon-min, Jeong-do learns more about himself and his city as he uses his skills as a ninth-degree black belt to stop criminals.

'Black Mass'

Johnny Depp’s 2015 mob drama Black Mass is now streaming on Netflix. Depp stars as real-life gangster James “Whitey” Bulger, leader of the South Boston Winter Hill Gang, who secretly became an informant for the FBI to take out a rival mob. Whitey somehow eluded the feds for years until he was finally arrested in 2011 and sentenced to life in prison. This film from director Scott Cooper is based on the book Black Mass: Whitey Bulger, the FBI, and a Devil’s Deal by Dick Lehr and Gerard O’Neill. Dakota Johnson, Jesse Plemons, Kevin Bacon, Benedict Cumberbatch also star.

In this moving two-part documentary, Cathy Terkanian investigates the mysterious disappearance of the daughter she gave up for adoption when she was just 16 years old. Her birth daughter, Alexis Badger, went missing in 1989 when she was 14. Now, Cathy attempts to uncover the truth with the help of an amateur detective and local authorities. The Netflix true crime documentary chronicles Cathy’s troubled decision to place her 10-month-old daughter up for adoption and the subsequent horror of learning about her sudden disappearance and possible death.

'Rebel Ridge'

From writer and director Jeremy Saulnier, Rebel Ridge follows an ex-Marine who finds himself contending with the corrupt precinct of a small southern town after the cops lawfully seize $30,000 in cash from him. Terry Richmond (Aaron Pierre) planned to use it to bail his cousin out of jail, but the cops don’t care. They take it for themselves, kicking off a face-off the cops of Shelby Springs are ill-equipped for.

'Uglies'

The hit YA series has finally been adapted into a feature film. This teen dystopian genre is set in a future where citizens, deemed “Uglies,” undergo cosmetic surgeries to become “Pretties” or risk remaining outcasts of society. Joey King stars as protagonist Tally Youngblood, who gets recruited by Pretties leader Dr. Cable to infiltrate and take down a rebel group of Uglies until she finds herself agreeing with their mission. Uglies also stars Outer Banks actor Chase Stokes and Keith Powers.
