Former Clemson football star Diondre Overton was laid to rest at a heartfelt ceremony on Thursday ... less than two weeks after cops say he was shot and killed at a house party.

Arizona Cardinals linebacker Xavier Thomas -- Overton's former Tiger teammate -- shared a video on his Instagram page of the funeral services held at the Westover Church in Greensboro, North Carolina ... and you can see, it was all very emotional.

At the venue, Overton's loved ones paid tribute to the 26-year-old by displaying his Clemson football gear next to LED lights that spelled out his nickname, "Dre." Photos of him during his years with the Tigers were also arranged near a stage.

Several members of the famous FaZe Clan esports organization were the latest victims of swatting on Thursday ... when cops showed up to their house guns-drawn after receiving a 911 call regarding a double murder.

TMZ Sports is told officers rushed to the streamers' Los Angeles home around 2:30 PM PT ... after a man claiming to be 60 years old stated he killed his mother and brother -- but someone was still breathing inside the residence.

The caller gave the operator the same location FaZe Clan was holding their current "subathon" -- which is a long-term event streamers participate in to boost subscribers.

Hall Jr. -- who had been facing a first-degree domestic violence charge stemming from an alleged violent altercation with a woman on Aug. 12 in Avon, Ohio -- pled no contest to a reduced count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct on Thursday morning.

In court, Hall Jr. -- a second-round pick in this year's NFL draft -- told the judge he lamented "the whole situation and wish this never happened." The 21-year-old added he's been undergoing counseling "and trying to better myself" since the incident.

Video from ex-Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias' September 2023 domestic violence incident has been released ... showing the World Series champion running toward his wife and slamming her into a fence after a soccer game.

The footage backs what TMZ Sports reported just days after Urias' arrest ... when law enforcement sources told us he came up from behind his partner, put his arm around her, forcefully pushed her into the barrier and pulled her hair.

The clip also shows Urias swinging in the woman's direction while bystanders tried to intervene ... although it is unclear if he landed the punch.

The man accused of firing a gun and killing two people at a Detroit Lions tailgate last Sunday will NOT be charged with a crime ... as officials say he was acting in self-defense.

The shooting took place in Eastern Market -- just blocks away from Ford Field -- as people were partying after the Lions had just lost a heartbreaker to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Cops said a preliminary investigation revealed that 25-year-old Jalen Welch had gotten into a dispute with a 40-year-old man at the venue ... when the man opened fire and killed him. A bystander, police added, was also struck by the gunfire ... and later died at a nearby hospital from his injuries.
