UPDATED:

Cam Ward’s first three games as a Miami Hurricane could not have gone much better.

After three stellar performances, the new UM quarterback is now the consensus favorite to win the Heisman Trophy, according to several sportsbooks.

FanDuel currently gives Ward +450 odds to win the Heisman, ahead of Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe (+600) and Ole Miss quarterback Jaxon Dart (+600). Bet365 and BetMGM give Ward the same odds.

Caesars Sportsbook (+575 — tied with Milroe) and ESPNBet (+550) give Ward longer odds to win the award, but he is the favorite or tied with one player as the favorite at both of those sportsbooks.

If he were to win the trophy, Ward would be the first UM Heisman winner since quarterback Gino Toretta won the award in 1992.

Ward is near the top of most statistical categories for quarterbacks. Ward ranks 10th in the nation in completion percentage, second in passing yards, third in yards per attempt, first in touchdown passes, fourth in quarterback rating and first in Pro Football Focus’ passing grade (among quarterbacks with 20 or more dropbacks).
