![Stop and look around long enough, you notice how much better (some) things are. Bread from Publix, for example. When I first moved to South Florida (some) years ago, there were no “baguettes” from Publix. Just long loaves of “French-style” white bread, with a thin, mushy crust, an interior like the heart of a palm – and more than a soupçon of chemical aftertastes.
