Week Notes 24#37

A fairly busy week, and Stanley came to stay for the weekend:

• Very cool to see Jane Wickline joining the SNL cast - very deserved!
• The Big TDM game mode in Apex Legends was super fun, with fully kitted out weapons, and an abundance of care package weapons but sad it left after only one day of being able to play it
• Had some cold days this week, with one morning the heating coming on because the house was so cold that our super low temperature level kicked in
• A busy start to my on-call shift, but managed to track down the root cause for a particularly fun incident
• We had a great OpenUK Digital Meetup, especially with a really great and interesting talk from Richard Croker
• Needed to print for the first time since my recent re-install of my desktop, for our wills, but unfortunately couldn't get it working after a fair bit of playing around with CUPS
• Got our wills finally signed 👏🏼
• Sorted through our previous Goustos, throwing away some duplicates/ones we won't remake, although we still have a lot to go through in the back catalog
• Had a random thought about The Hunger Games, and did some digging into the history of the Quarter Quells
• Had a good massage on Thursday, although having Crank That kinda seeping through at the start didn't quite set the mood
• Stanley came to stay on Friday for our first multi-dog household
  • He's been a very sweet cutie, and for the most part it's been a mostly chill weekend
  • Had a nice walk with the two of them at a field and Stanley loved playing with his ball, despite panting so very hard
  • Stanley got snuggled between us, which was very cute
  • Cookie's been surprisingly good with having another dog in the house, and as long as he didn't get too close to Anna, she's been fine with him around, and they've coexisted mostly peacefully
  • It's been fun having them barking in stereo, especially when someone's car door closed
  • Cookie's been very sleepy today, especially since Stanley left
  • And Morph came in, and into the living room, straight after Stanley left and stayed while we went to get Iskender from Rakki Rakkas 😋
• Had a perfect pizza with the new pizza trays, given we chucked our old ones as they ended up starting to rust
• Made some progress towards "How I manage my dotfiles", but not managed to get it live given it's been a busy week

• Taskmaster
• The US Office
  • We'd forgotten just how bad Michael can be 🫣
  • Not sure when we last watched it, but could be the first time since the start of my week notes, which seems very surprising
  • Was very surprising that season 2's visual quality was a step up, wondering if they'd been remastered since we last saw it
