All nine seasons of “The King of Queens” are set to stream on Paramount+ and Pluto TV under a new non-exclusive licensing agreement between Sony Pictures Television and Paramount Global.
This will mark the first time “King of Queens” has been available on Paramount+ and the first time all nine seasons will be available on Pluto TV. The beloved sitcom’s first three seasons have previously been available to stream on the latter service.
“We are thrilled to extend our long-standing relationship with Paramount through this multi-platform agreement for one of the most iconic sitcoms in Spt’s library,” said Flory Bramnick, executive vice president of distribution for Sony Pictures Television. “We’re fortunate to be able to offer our partners highly coveted content across any genre that can be programmed specifically to their unique audience needs, and we’re confident ‘The King of Queens’ will be a strong performer across multiple platforms.

Doug Heffernan won’t be sittin’ in traffic on the Queensborough Bridge tonight — or any time soon, for that matter.
During a sit-down on NBC’s Today, Kevin James ruled out the possibility of a King of Queens revival, for one reason and one reason only: “You cannot do it because of Jerry,” he said, referring to the loss of his beloved co-star, Jerry Stiller. “How do you do that without Jerry? He was amazing.”

“There was something fishy about that particular kerfuffle.”
Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) is perplexed. Sitting in his partner’s car, driving away from their thwarted attempt to ensnare Clement Mansell (Boyd Holbrook), the Floridian Marshal (by way of Kentucky) can’t put his finger on what, exactly, is going on in Detroit. He knows what’s been done and who did it. He knows where to find the man he’s looking for. And yet, try as he might, Raylan can’t seem to keep the cuffs on his bounty.
“I wonder if anybody’s that lucky,” Raylan says. “I wonder if some combination of this dead judge and this alleged book and this particular shitbird are making people act in ways they otherwise wouldn’t. And I feel like I do when I’m being played a fool.”

Justified's Raylan Givens returned to FX with Justified: Primeval City this week, but the sequel series is missing a key character from the original series. Walton Goggins did not revive his character of Boyd Crowder – the childhood friend of Raylan, played by Timothy Olyphant.
Justified: Primeval City picks up 15 years after Justified, with Givens now living in Miami and raising his daughter. A chance encounter takes him to Detroit on the hunt for a killer. Aunjanue Ellis, Vondie Curtis Hall, Adelaide Clemens, Marin Ireland, Victor Williams, Norbert Leo Butz, and Boyd Holbrook also star in the series.

“Justified: City Primeval” wastes little time throwing Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) back into the thick of things, which is about the same amount of time it spends pretending all that much has changed. Sure, he’s based in Florida, which is where he was first based when “Justified” (Original Recipe) started; his soulmate, Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins), is locked away in Kentucky, nowhere to be found; and Willa, his daughter, is now a teenager. But even as it brings us up to speed on Raylan’s life, the opening scene predominantly speaks to the lingering demons our favorite U.S. Marshal has yet to quell.

City Primeval opens with Raylan and his 15-year-old daughter Willa (played by Timothy Olyphant and his daughter Vivian) leaving Florida on a road trip, to deliver the latter to conversion therapy camp after she busted a classmate’s nose. Nearly eight years after the conclusion of the original series, “Justified” has returned to FX. Tuesday marks the premiere of “Justified: City Primeval,” a continuation of the series that ran for six seasons.
From showrunners Dave Andron and Michael Dinner, “Justified: City Primeval” continues the story of Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant). After leaving Kentucky for Miami, Raylan continued to work as a U.S. Marshall and raise his daughter. But when an elusive criminal known as The Oklahoma Wildman (Boyd Holbrook) emerges in Detroit, Raylan will have to uproot his life in his pursuit of law and order.
The eight-episode continuation is based on the novel “City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit” by author Elmore Leonard. Consider this everything you need to know about how to watch new episodes:

U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) had a time-honored tradition during the six seasons of the original “Justified.” The rakish law man would chase a baddie across Kentucky back roads and trailer parks. Bullets flew, and moonshine was consumed. Still, Givens always made time for a philosophical and deep conversation with his prey before the final showdown. Raylan would learn something humanizing about his nemesis’ motivation and, inevitably, realize he himself could be a dick on occasion. These talks often featured Boyd Crowder, Givens’ frenemy played by Walton Goggins with a mouthful of Biden-white teeth, a shock of black hair and buckets of country wisdom. They were so humanizing that you often forgot Boyd was a white supremacist turned drug dealer.
In “Justified: Primeval City,” Givens’ nemesis is killer and White Stripes aficionado Clement Mansell aka the Oklahoma Wildman. At a crucial moment, Mansell (Boyd Holbrook) sizes up the now middle-aged Givens.

The original “Justified,” developed by Graham Yost from Elmore Leonard’s book, “Fire in the Hole,” stands the test of time for several reasons. Its case-per-season approach makes each new investigation as accessible as it is arresting. Its star, U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant), is a classic cowboy in a modern world, not always bucking against the trends but still stubbornly adhering to his own sense of right and wrong. Olyphant’s soft drawl and charming fortitude — peppered with terse quips and curt advice — go a long way on their own, though any assessment of “Justified” must give equal weight to Boyd Crowder, embodied with iconic verbosity and verve by the great Walton Goggins.
For six seasons, “Justified” thrived as a two-hander; it wasn’t that Raylan and Boyd were always on opposite sides, so much as their lives ran in such consistent parallel to one another that...

Whether it’s Hollywood’s inability to spawn new blockbuster icons or the entertainment industry’s commitment to placating an audience with an insatiable desire for nostalgia, the summer of 2023 has taken on a distinct Twilight-of-the-Action-Gods feeling.
The season started with Arnold Schwarzenegger doing the streaming equivalent of a ’90s Arnold Schwarzenegger classic, now with meditations on fatherhood and approaching retirement, in Netflix’s Fubar. Then Harrison Ford added meditations on godfatherhood and approaching retirement in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. The only reason Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One isn’t about fatherhood and approaching retirement is a fear that if Tom Cruise were ever to actually confront, or even address, his own aging, the metaphorical dream factory would implode.

“There are only two kinds of guys out in the street chasing bad guys at your age — ones who got passed over for ‘the big chair,’ and the ones who just love it so much they’re gonna have to be dragged off. Only question is will they be breathing when it happens.”
That observation-slash-threat comes courtesy of Raylan Givens’ latest formidable foe, Clement Mansell aka “The Oklahoma Wildman,” in the FX limited series Justified: City Primeval. But it also speaks to the fact that the steely-eyed U.S. Marshal indeed cannot seem to stop doing that thing he does so well.

The new FX limited series “Justified: City Primeval” is a fish-out-of-water story featuring a long, lanky fish in a Stetson hat. His name is Raylan Givens, and you might know him from “Justified,” the FX crime series that made itself at home in the hollers of Kentucky among white supremacists and other Southern miscreants from 2010 to 2015. Played by Timothy Olyphant with a smooth gait and seen-it-all demeanor, Deputy U.S. Marshal Givens, created by the unmatchable crime fiction writer Elmore Leonard, now finds himself in Detroit, where a maniac is sowing chaos, a dirty judge has been murdered and the rules of engagement are as wild as the West ever was.
But if Raylan is new to the criminal ways of Motor City, Leonard, who died in 2013, most certainly wasn’t. This was his home, and the setting for much of his most memorable work. He knew the crooks and the crooked cops,...

Raylan Givens is back in action and I couldn’t be happier. FX has released the official trailer for Justified: City Primeval, a new limited series inspired by Elmore Leonard’s crime novel City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit.

Timothy Olyphant has brought his cowboy hat to the mean streets of Detroit as deputy U.S. Marshall Raylan Givens to cross paths with a violent, sociopathic killer 15 years after he left the hollers of Kentucky in FX’s original Justified drama, as revealed in the official trailer for FX’s Justified: City Primeval, which dropped Wednesday.
The series revival, based Elmore Leonard’s novel City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit, has Givens on a collision course with Clement Mansell — aka The Oklahoma Wildman — a desperado played by Boyd Holbrook, who’s already eluded a Motor City police task force.
“I see you near my daughter again, I’ll kill you,” Givens tells Mansell at one point in the trailer after seeing him with his daughter, Willa Givens, played by Vivian Olyphant.
“Not if I see you first,” Mansell responds with his own taunt as he licks his wounds after a beat-down.

Having been off the air for about eight years now, the neo-noir world of "Justified" is coming back to television with "Justified: City Primeval," a miniseries based on Elmore Leonard's 1980 novel. The Emmy Award-winning original series, which ran for over six seasons, starred Timothy Olyphant as U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens, and featured a supporting cast including Joelle Carter, Nick Searcy, Jacob Pitts, Erica Tazel, and Walton Goggins.
"City Primeval" takes place many years after the 2015 series finale, with Raylan having left his life in Kentucky for Miami, where he's committed to raising his teenage daughter, Willa (now played by Vivian Olyphant), while trying to juggle his Marshal duties. But an incident on a Florida highway prompts a trip to Detroit, where he faces a new challenge in the deadly Clement Mansell (Boyd Holbrook), also known as "The Oklahoma Wildman." Production of FX’s Justified: City Primeval was interrupted again Monday by a violent incident from outside the show’s set.
The series was filming in Chicago’s South Loop area Monday night when someone threw what police described as an “incendiary device” toward the set. The device didn’t explode, according to a report from Wls-tv, and no one was hurt. Police are investigating the incident, but no arrests have been made as of publication time.
The Monday incident happened three weeks after two vehicles carrying people shooting at one another crashed through barricades on the Justified set as it filmed on the city’s West Side. No cast or crew members were hurt in that incident either, but filming paused for several days.
“We took a break and made sure everyone was ok,” FX chairman John Landgraf told reporters last week.

CBS has canceled a quartet of shows.
Three of those, “Fam,” “Happy Together,” and “Murphy Brown,” will come to and end after only one season, while “Life In Pieces” will end after its fourth season, which is currently airing.
The “Life In Pieces” news comes only five episodes into season 4. So far, it is averaging a 0.84 rating in the key 18-49 demographic and 5.75 million viewers per episode, which represents a dip on last season which averaged a 1.11 rating and just under 6.5 million total viewers.
Created by Justin Adler and starring Dianne Wiest and James Brolin, the comedy revolved around one big, happy family and their milestone moments.
Freshman comedy “Fam” starred Nina Dobrev as Clem, a woman whose idea of a perfect life with her fiance (Tone Bell) is thrown off course when her out-of-control 16-year-old half-sister (Odessa Adlon) unexpectedly comes to live with her.

In their breakout TV roles, Damon Wayans Jr. (“Happy Endings”) and Amber Stevens West (“The Carmichael Show”) proved themselves to be perfect sitcom utility players. Both were tasked at times with lending grounding reality to ensemble series that only just managed to keep their balance without spiraling into mania, and both displayed their own amiable willingness to indulge and heighten their respective show’s quirk.
What a shame, then, that two such talented performers are marooned on CBS’s “Happy Together,” a show whose title says it all; unlike even most of CBS’s prime-time comedy slate, it fundamentally lacks a point-of-view or anything that help it break free from the generic—even as its stars struggle against a tide bearing them back to the bygone era where this show’s jokes seem to have originated. A running joke in “Happy Together’s” pilot revolves around our central couple’s...

"She's a piece of work." Paladin has released the official trailer for an indie dramedy titled Trouble, the second feature film from Pulitzer Prize-nominated playwright and novelist Theresa Rebeck (her first film was Poor Behavior in 2016). The film is about two middle-aged siblings who don't care for one another - played by Anjelica Huston and Bill Pullman. Ben returns home in hopes of getting back his father's estate to build a house there, but runs into the hard-headed Maggie, his sister who won't let him have any of it back. The cast includes David Morse, Julia Stiles, Brian d'Arcy James, Jim Parrack, and Victor Williams. This looks a bit wild, with some brutally honest take from both sides. Might be worth a watch? Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Theresa Rebeck's Trouble, direct from YouTube: Maggie (Anjelica Huston) and Ben (Bill Pullman) are middle-aged siblings who don't care for one another.

[Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers for “The Affair” Season 4, Episode 8.]
There’s something legitimately stunning about what just happened on “The Affair,” which is nearing the end of a fourth season that up until now has seemed relatively tame, especially for a series that in the past has been fraught with sex, violence, and family drama (often all mixed together).
Sure, Vic (Omar Metwally) received a cancer diagnosis that pushed him into some extreme behavior, and other characters have also engaged in the show’s trademark self-destructive decision making. But the writers’ decision to, as far as we can tell, flat-out kill Alison (Ruth Wilson) in Episode 8 is a shocker that changes the entire nature of the series to a massive degree, especially given the fact that the series was recently renewed for a fifth and final season.
Savvy viewers know that death on television is rarely as permanent as death in real life, but in Sunday’s episode,...
