Possum
Like Jordan Peele, John Krasinski, and Zach Cregger, Matthew Holness made a name for himself in the comedy space — most notably, creating and starring in Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace — before delivering one hell of a horror movie right out the gate. 2018’s Possum is a psychological slow-burner that follows a disgraced children’s puppeteer back to his childhood home, where the trauma of his past comes back to haunt him.
A lifelike human head tethered to spindly spider legs, the titular puppet would be creepy in any context, but Holness turns it into pure nightmare fuel. Combined with an oppressive tone, unnerving...

In one of the most twistedly intense films of his career, Lucio Fulci takes on the erotic thriller genre and unleashes an onslaught of glossy depravity in Uhd for the first time ever: Brett Halsey (Demonia), Corinne Cléry (The Story of O), and Blanca Marsillach (Flesh+Blood) star in this insane S&m saga complete with torrid romance, rampant nudity, woodwind-induced orgasms, and a cavalcade of kink to deliver what The Digital Bits calls “one of the sleazier films Fulci ever made.” Stefano Madia (Body Count), Bernard Seray (Hell of the Living Dead) and Fulci himself co-star in this psychosexual sickie—also known as Dangerous Obsession—now scanned in 4K from the original negative with special features that include an all-new interview with Blanca Marsillach and a newly discovered audio interview with Lucio Fulci.
The Devil’s Honey is available on 4K Uhd on March 26.

Lucio Fulci, the master of the soft-core thriller, is back with… wait, what? Let’s start over, shall we? Lucio Fulci, the Italian maestro of the viscerally dangerous and compellingly disgusting, dips his toe into—for me, that is—uncharted waters with The Devil’s Honey (1986), a melodramatically erotic piece resurrected by Severin Films for a packed Blu-ray release. This is not your dad’s Fulci. (Unless he had a special drawer…)
Johnny (Stefano Madia – Body Count) is a successful saxophone player carrying out a torrid love affair with his girlfriend, Jessica (Blanca Marsillach – Flesh + Blood) when he is felled in a motorcycle accident. The doctor who performs the surgery, Wendell Simpson (Brett Halsey – Return of the Fly), botches it and Johnny dies. Jessica does not take the news well, kidnaps Wendell, and submits him to various humiliating violent and sexual acts while he’s tied up like a dog,...

Raro Video resurrects an exploitation goodie masquerading as another bit of cheap Eurosleaze, Hitch Hike (aka Autostop Rosso Sangue) a 1977 thriller from Italian director Pasquale Festa Campanile. Like a tawdry version of an early Polanski effort, it’s a significant anomaly of its ilk for several reasons, the most notable being its director, usually known as a fixture of 1970’s Italian-style comedy (aka commedia all’italiana). Adapted from the novel The Violence and the Fury by Peter Kern, it’s headlined by Franco Nero, French actress Corinne Clery (the title character from infamous The Story of O, 1975) and grindhouse staple David Hess (The Last House on the Left, 1972), while predictable story elements spiked with moments of brutal violence should be enough to rejuvenate interest in a title not often screened in the Us (despite its initial box office success in Europe).

From death by shark to fatal ingestion of air pellet, here's a run-down of the James Bond movies' grisliest deaths...
The James Bond franchise has entertained (most of) the whole family for generations, with one-liners like “shocking” and “I think he got the point” delivered while some poor soul is electrocuted or shot with a harpoon gun. But they were bad guys, so it was all okay.
However, regardless of how downplayed they might have been, we were shown some pretty disturbing ways to dispense with an evil henchman, the kind of thing that gave us nightmares when we were kids.
With work now underway on the latest latest Bond movie, Spectre, here's our look at the top 10 macabre ways 007 has dispatched evildoers in masterful fashion.
This feature contains spoilers for lots of James Bond films.
Goldfinger (1964)
Victim: Auric Goldfinger (Gert Frobe)
Scene: having defeated Goldfinger’s dastardly plan, Bond...

Richard Kiel and Roger Moore were adversaries in Bond movies The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker, but when the cameras stopped rolling the pair had a mutual respect that blossomed into an unlikely friendship.
Visually and personality-wise the pair couldn't have been more different - Moore the witty, urbane Englishman, Kiel the towering 7'2" man from Detroit. It was this contrast that made them a great match on celluloid, but off-screen there was no such animosity. It was somewhat fitting that, by the close of Moonraker, Jaws had performed a u-turn and helped save 007's life.
With the sad news of Kiel's passing at the age of 74, Digital Spy takes a look back at Kiel and Moore's friendship in 6 wonderful pictures.
1. In this shot from The Spy Who Loved Me's thrilling train carriage sequence, Kiel fends off an attack from Moore's 007 while chomping on a plank of wood to fashion a weapon.
