In a surprising turn of events, Argentinian striker Paulo Dybala will stay at AS Roma despite previously reaching an agreement with Saudi side Al-Qadsiah worth around €70 million for three years, according to multiple reports. Despite Dybala finding an agreement with the Saudi club, AS Roma didn't reach a final agreement on the fee and the deal stalled.

Then, it was the same Dybala who announced the final decision and posted a video on his social media channels and wrote: "Thank you Rome ... see you on Sunday."

It was supposed to be the day of Dybala leaving AS Roma as he said goodbye to his teammates and left the training center with many fans asking him to change his mind. After some hours, the final decision arrived, and it couldn't be a better one for the Roma fans that will have the chance to see him again on the pitch this Sunday against Empoli for the first home game of the season at the Stadio Olimpico.

Dybala joined AS Roma in the summer of 2022 after he left Juventus as a free agent. In his first season at the club, he reached the UEFA Europa League final where Roma lost in penalties against Sevilla and in which Dybala scored the opening goal of the final. The Giallorossi signed Argentinian striker Matias Soule from Juventus who will pair with Dybala in the attacking line this season and will also play alongside another Argentinian, Leandro Paredes.

Paredes, 2022 World Cup winner alongside Dybala with Argentina, reacted to the Dybala post by writing, "If you didn't get it, la Joya will stay with us!"
