Basil Yamey

Basil S. Yamey, CBE (4 May 1919[1] – 9 November 2020) was a South African economist. He was born in Cape Town in South Africa. For many years he was a Professor at the London School of Economics. He was a part-time member of the Monopolies and Mergers Commission from 1966 to 1978.

Yamey died on 9 November 2020 in Cape Town at the age of 101.[2]
