I promise you, you are not ready to comprehend what’s about to happen in the film.

This is the most off the rails, gory, monster, folk tale hybrid I’ve ever seen. I’m truly flabbergasted. I don’t know how this man was able to pitch this script to financiers and it WON the Screenplay award at Cannes as well.

The French are really into some shit.

This film is like a great blend of Straw Dog and Texas Chainsaw. However it feels like it really is a carbon copy of Straw Dogs in modern day.

I think the uncomfortable behavior from McAvoy was my favorite section of the movie and superbly entertaining. He destroys all his roles and really enraptured the theater.

There’s plenty of good moments with buildup that get squandered in the movie pretty easily. This is actually a great example of how to NOT block a film with actors in relationship to their surroundings.

Josh magically escapes every situation he’s in with his charm and quick invisible hiding to evade capture one too many times where you begin to roll your eyes.

    Good concept but poor execution.
