This recaptures the goofy macabre magic of the original but is actually too grounded in the real world aesthetically to be at the same level. Screenplay feels unfocused and overexcited.
That said, I’ll never get tired of people wearing their own deaths like costumes, cheesy puns, and satirizing the bourgeoisie.
