  This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

  Hauntingly beautiful but also sad. Although unexpected, the climax, Takayama’s death, felt almost comical. As Sadako emerged from the screen, I couldn't help but feel her presence just felt uncanny, especially when you could tell she was caked up with makeup and prosthetics. I think it holds up very well, considering it was released in 1998. Other than that, the use of mystery with the videotape was good. I guess that's where all scary ARGs were inspired from, lol.
