Was so hyped about this one that i was a bit afraid to watch it and, once again, be disappointed by a new movie i was excited about. Glad to say that i was wrong and this is actually just as delightful as i expected and very, very funny: i let out a chuckle every time the camera revealed one of the random thingies scattered across the house, and every single bit of slapstick was gold (in no small part thanks to Feldman being expecially adept at performing physical comedy). Also, even though i'm already on the record about this: great, great poster!
Quite unexpectedly, my favourite of the four movies composing the cycle, and almost certainly the one that the director must have held most dear.
The Shakespearean play from which this movie takes its title is one of the so-called 'problem plays', often considered 'tonally inconsistent' by modern scholars, baffled by the idea of something not easily fitting into rigid categories like 'comedy' or 'tragedy'; and certainly this film, while not really polarizing, could easily be seen as 'baffling' by some…
