The Great White Asparagus is a species of great sentient food-creatures dwelling in the great Asparagus Sea. As its name implies, it is an enormous, white, shark-like piece of asparagus.
History[]
Stickybeard had a run-in with a Great White Asparagus some months after adding Heinrich Von Marzipan to his crew. The huge asparagus ate Stickybeard's entire crew, save for Heinrich. Their escape from the monster led Stickybeard to come across the Red Stalk Isle and invoke the rage of Black John Licorice (Operation: L.I.C.O.R.I.C.E.).
Sector V managed to get themselves stranded on a sinking M.E.G.A.R.A.G.E. somewhere in the Asparagus Sea. While waiting to be rescued, they were hunted down by one such Great White Asparagus. The kids were eventually eaten, but soon saved when the Great White Asparagus was killed by Captain Stickybeard and his crew (Operation: A.F.L.O.A.T.).
A Great White Asparagus was set to be worth 10,000 points in the great Scavenging Hunt arranged by Numbuh 74.239. Willard Wallace sat fishing for such a creature for some time, before one bit his hook and swallowed him whole (Operation: I.N.T.E.R.V.I.E.W.S.).
Trivia[]
- The creature seems to be based on the shark from the film Jaws, as it eats each passenger of the M.E.G.A.R.A.G.E., being mostly under the sea of asparagus while it hunts, and taking out the ship as it attacks.
- In Operation: L.I.C.O.R.I.C.E., the Great White Asparagus is only mentioned in notes in Stickybeard's journal.
