Iowa explosion

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! I appreciate your contributions to the USS Iowa turret explosion article. [1] Usually, a name is wikilinked only the first time it appears in the article. Anyway, what do you think of the article? Do you think it focuses too much on certain aspects of the subject and not enough on others? Cla68 (talk) 22:37, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ooops; beginners mistake. I think it is balanced give the sources available. I read over the comments page, and do not see much specificity in the criticism.--Coldplay3332 (talk) 14:20, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the articles. I'll go through them and add additional information as appropriate. Feel free to do so yourself also. If you think information is important, but not important enough to go in the article text, it can be included in the footnote. Since the article texts are copyrighted, I'm going to need to delete them eventually, but thanks again. Cla68 (talk) 22:30, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ANI

[edit]

You are being discussed at ANI as a possible sockpuppet/meatpuppet of Cmagha. Thanks. Racepacket (talk) 11:10, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your name has been mentioned in connection with a sockpuppetry case. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Cmagha for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to cases before editing the evidence page. 4meter4 (talk) 02:04, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unblocked

[edit]

I spoke with Risker regarding your sockpuppet investigation. After our discussion, it is clear that the accounts mentioned in the case are operated by different people. These accounts will be unblocked. However, please proceed with care in the future. Risker suggested that you and your friends edit in different areas. This is excellent advice, which I strongly suggest you all heed. There is much relevant advice on this page about how to proceed when you share an IP address with another user. Please review that page and follow the instructions listed there - this will help avoid future problems. If you have questions about Wikipedia or editing here, please contact me on my talk page. The recent warning appears to be unconnected to any vandalism and the warning has been removed. I'm not sure what happened, because the edit the warning linked to does not exist, but there appears to be no justification for a warning. Please accept my apologies for my error regarding your edit. Hi. When you recently edited John J. Cavanaugh, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Ted and Vatican (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
