Map update

[edit]

The map needs an update. The follwoing countries should be colourd red: Albania and Kosovo. And I think Macedonia should be removed from the list, because there is no macedonian channel airing the show plus there are only macedonian Albanians attending the castings. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ks05ks (talkcontribs) 21:20, 24 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Map should be updated, there were more countries were part now in all franchises. Ayeespino (talk) 08:35, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The Voice Canada

[edit]

There has been no announcement from CTV regarding the production of a localized version of the show and therefore it has been removed from the current production chart. CTV does air the NBC version across its networks and that has been the ONLY announcement so far.

Ok, feel free to add that to the article-just make sure you include a source and an explanation for your changes in your edit summaries. Qrsdogg (talk) 20:02, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The Voice Canada is now listed as being hosted in 2016 by CBC. The reference to Mozambique magazine is erroneous. A quick internet search also does not bring up anything on this proposed program.(Emvern (talk) 13:57, 14 April 2015 (UTC))[reply]

What is the premise of this show?

[edit]

I can tell from the article that it's some sort of singing competition but exactly what is the format? There really needs a basic description of the gimmick/format on this show. --Cab88 (talk) 00:02, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"The first is the "unseen" audition (recently changed due to a proposed lawsuit from the American Legion of Blind persons)"

"Hahahahaha seriously?"

NBC still call it blind audition. Couldn't find anything about said organization. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sir John Falstaff (talkcontribs) 22:37, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Protecting the article

[edit]

Hi, i was wondering if someone could semi protect this article due to persistant vandalism in the UK section. No judges have been announced yet, but people keep editing ones in. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mythical Curse (talkcontribs) 15:35, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How much damage was done to the section? Ozziebro (talk) 09:05, 1 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The Voice article should be semi protected cause until now, there were some who were vandalizing the article which results to misinformation. Ayeespino (talk) 16:44, 23 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No legend for the image for locations where "The Voice" is present or planned

[edit]

It's in the Countries -> Ongoing section. The map lacks a legend. The label "Location of some of the existing and planned franchises of The Voice." is not enough especially since there are four colours used on the map used and the label mentions only about existing and planned franchise. We have green and grey areas. The grey areas are obviously countries that do not have this kind of franchise but what about the green ones? Besides right now I'm watching 1st season of the show in China on YouTube, so if blue is the colour for "planned" than this map is obviously not up-to-date. Rbaleksandar (talk) 15:20, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Australia, Argentina, Vietnam, Thailand, Spain, Brazil, the countries where the pan-Arab version is being broadcast, Colombia, Hungary and Russia should be coloured red as well. Xelaxa (talk) 10:12, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Romanian Kids version?

[edit]

Someone has added a Romanian entry to the "Children's version" table a while ago. However, I couldn't find any evidence about its existence whatsoever. Why is it there? —  Andreyyshore  T  C  22:21, 9 November 2013 (UTC) [reply]

Structure

[edit]

Hi Renzoy16 :-) The latest changes concerning colouring and The Voice Kids are not necessarily best in my opinion. A different colour for current or upcoming seasons seems not really an improvement to me but requires more maintenance efforts. The Voice Kids should remain a separate chapter in my humble opinion. Though I appreciate most of your valuable work in this article. Greetings --Toni am See (talk) 16:32, 11 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"The recent winner ..."

[edit]

In my opinion, the information who is the recent winner is not worth mentioning. The fact that the name given is really the recent winner is completely unsourced. Greets --Toni am See (talk) 08:08, 24 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"The Voice of the Silk Road" a franchise of The Voice?

[edit]

To me, "The Voice of the Silk Road" doesn't appear to be a franchise of The Voice. The Voice of the Silk Road says it does be, but without any source. The Logo and the studio equipment are not in accordance with those in all other The Voice franchises. Any sources or comments? --Toni am See (talk) 19:42, 30 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Missing some formats that will be upcoming

[edit]

Hello everyone I've noticed there been some change on this article because the last time I saw the article I saw that The Voice Osterreich, The Voice Japan, The Voice Srbija and The Voice Slovenija. So what happened to the article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Muso Max Von Vaduz (talkcontribs) 08:14, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I also didn't know why are those upcoming versions dropped from the table. I'm pretty sure that those versions either don't have enough reference or each of them's references are considered fake. If you wonder why is Pakistani version still there even though it has been 5 years without any news about it, it's because that version is stated by Talpa, the creator of The Voice. Therefore, we shall not drop that version from table until Talpa make another statement about it.Yosua1010101 (talk) 07:10, 17 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

French20, This is the English Wikipedia. Readers reading the English Wikipedia will always expect links to be in English, the language they understand. If linking to foreign-language Wikipedias is desired, it should be done via the Interlanguage link template, as I have taken the pain to demonstrated in my edits. This identifies the links as being to a foreign language, in order to avoid surprising the reader, per the WP:principle of least astonishment, and helps identify the lack of an article in English, so that interested editors can create them. What exactly is your problem? --Paul_012 (talk) 20:46, 16 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Paul 012 My problem is that the page for several days has been totally modified despite hours and hours of researching modifiers. The flags were removed on the pretext that it was too "community" while they were there to show that The Voice in each country is not reserved only for the citizens of that country but that ALL ORIGINS can participate. For the flags on the coaches, it was a bit the same, it showed that many international artists went to other countries to judge, which is nothing COMMUNAUTARIST but to show visitors that The Voice is INTERNATIONAL.
For Wikipedia links, it took us hours and hours to renovate these links, delete dead links, put foreign links, that means that we will have to redo almost everything when it did not bother anyone to visit foreign links (there weren't many, just for some coaches and especially for the winners) — Preceding unsigned comment added by French20 (talkcontribs) 20:58, 17 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see how that is in any way relevant to this edit of yours. Next time, please actually look at edits before reverting. --Paul_012 (talk) 21:39, 16 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
French20, honestly, I have no idea what you're getting at. First you complain about having taken hours and hours to add links, then you go and indiscriminately remove them. Whatever, I don't particularly care. But if your intent is the removal of red links, do know that it is against the WP:Red link guideline. Red links for notable people should be kept; they will turn blue when the articles are created. --Paul_012 (talk) 22:45, 17 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Paul 012 I have been taking care of this page for 4 years with modifiers as old as me, I know what readers want. 1 year ago, several readers told us about their problem with the red links, because it sent them directly to a page where he could create one. I modify this page that by listening to the opinions of regular readers, I did not modify it just for my personal good. That's how it is, I will not change, the opinions and desires of the readers will come first, that's what makes Wikipedia incredible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by French20 (talkcontribs) 09:51, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You're effectively saying that the way things have always been done in Wikipedia is wrong and must be changed, because you know that readers don't want it. As I said, I don't care to fight over this article, but if you're serious about your position you should probably bring it up for wider discussion at the WP:Village pump. --Paul_012 (talk) 02:28, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Violations of WP:SYNTH

[edit]

Far too much of this article was a high-level analysis of various sources to come to novel conclusions. Regular authors, writers and historians are expected to write like this but on Wikipedia it's a violation of WP:No original research, especially the part about WP:SYNTH, the synthesis of two or more sources to make a new conclusion that isn't made in any of the sources. That's why I removed so much of the offending text today.

Better description in the lead

[edit]

Should the lead try to better explain what the show is about? IMO it's worth clarifying that unlike other singing competitions, this show focuses much more on vocals over appearance and presentation. Prinsgezinde (talk) 10:34, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Add additional countries in The Voice collapsable area

[edit]

Hi,

Can someone add Persia, Dominican Republic and Japan in the collapsable area which can be found in the external links section? Also, please add Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Nigeria and Nepal in the Kids section. Add also Peru, Colombia and the other countries missing here. Thank you.

P.S.: How to add data there cause when I'm trying to click either V, T or E, I cannot edit that section. Thank you Ayeespino (talk) 04:26, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"The Voice around the world" table

[edit]

@French20: Hello! I've seen you are a recurrent editor in this page, and thank you for all the work. It ain't a easy page to control. So, I would like to make a suggestion: the table for all the series around the world is getting bigger and bigger; wouldn't it be better if separate tables are added? For example, dividing the versions by continents; and also having the possibility of hiding the table and each reader could open the specific table they wanna see. Feel free to ask more editors' opinions of course. Regards – MarcioRob24 (talk) 22:56, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@MarcioRob24: Hello :) thank you for contributing to this sometimes hectic page haha

for your proposals, it is true that the table is long and large, to classify the versions by continent it seems to me not feasible, but to make a kind of opening / closing on each country, why not, we would have to see what that is given

@French20: & @MarcioRob24: I will help in this idea, cause its really cool for a change, when we will start? Ayeespino (talk) 16:07, 12 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Ayeespino: Thank you for the availability :D - MarcioRob24 (talk) 19:22, 15 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@French20: If I got it right, you're suggesting something like the tables above? - MarcioRob24 (talk) 19:22, 15 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@MarcioRob24: I think the good idea here is the country should be within the table together with the franchise details and on top of the table should be the continent name and make the text size much bigger than the samples above, what do you think? 😁
@Ayeespino: I don't know if it is necessary to put letter size bigger, tho. But thank you for your thoughts. - MarcioRob24 (talk) 15:23, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@MarcioRob24: @Ayeespino: sorry to answer that now i did not receive the notifications when you quoted me, I only received the last one. Yes i was thinking of this idea of just putting the country in front and when you click to open the table, the channel / coaches / presenters appear.

After what will be a little disturbing it is for the editors, because it will be more complicated to see the vandalism because when there is vandalism, the person makes several changes at the same time to complicate the task to be corrected, therefore will have to open all the tables to check, but it is true that the idea of tables is a good idea

@French20: Well in case of vandalism, it is easier to check the page's history and check the latest reviews, and see what has been done. - MarcioRob24 (talk) 15:23, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You're right, what if we do it in Hide/Show feature but this time per continent but the main section is still Around The World? Ayeespino (talk) 09:44, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
