The San Francisco Air Defense Sector (SFADS) is an inactive United States Air Force organization. Its last assignment was with the 28th Air Division, being stationed at Beale Air Force Base, California.
History
SFADS was established in February 1959 assuming control of former ADC Western Air Defense Force units in California west of the Sierra Nevada; north of Santa Barbara and south of Eureka. Also operated a Semi Automatic Ground Environment (SAGE) direction center. The Sector was inactivated on 1 August 1963 as part of an ADC consolidation and reorganization; and its units were assigned to 28th Air Division at Hamilton AFB.

- Operated: AN/FSQ-7 Computer
- SAGE building is now Beale AFB building 2145, housing the 9th Reconnaissance Technical Squadron.
- GATR (Ground Air Transmitter Receiver) site (R-18) located at: 39°05′46″N 121°24′18″W / 39.09611°N 121.40500°W
- Operated by: Det. 1, 666th Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron (666th OLAA)
- GATR site originally was for the Beale AFB SAGE direction center (DC-18). Then was assigned to Mill Valley AFS (P-38) as an annex circa 1963.
- Now the Beale AFB Rod & Gun Club, with some trap & skeet ranges
