Why is this definition restricted to newspapers? The newmediajournalism.com link describes a usage of the word that is very common in web publishing and applies to all kinds of URLs, not only print media related. All semantic URLs should contain a slug of the page title. • Changed article name to Slug (publishing)
• Included a link to Slug (web publishing), the use on the web
