Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 21:37, 27 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox dates

Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. Welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions was not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.

You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats, by adding five tildes (~~~~~), which generates the specific time the update was made.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you, Mattythewhite (talk) 19:27, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license

Unspecified source/license for File:Vyatskoye location map.png

Thanks for uploading File:Vyatskoye location map.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 23:45, 27 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Image source problem with File:Golden Veg Cup A Soup Pack.jpg

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Golden Veg Cup A Soup Pack.jpg.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F4 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:11, 27 March 2019 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ronhjones  (Talk) 00:11, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Stoke Gifford Stadium

Hello, Cls14,

Thanks for creating Stoke Gifford Stadium! I edit here too, under the username Boleyn and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:-

Please add your references.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Boleyn}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Boleyn (talk) 20:14, 23 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:The Royal Priors Shopping Centre.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. St Fagans National Museum of History

I've removed your edit to St Fagans National Museum of History again. No-one comes by train to St Fagans (there isn't a train station near there, people come by car, bus or taxi, if anything) and neither is it a suitable fact for the lede intro. There's no reason for starting to list things that are several miles away. Sionk (talk) 08:28, 29 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Opening ceremony of the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, Parc de Princes, Paris, June 7, 2019

Hello WOSO editors! What a 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France! There has been a lot of activity on tournament- and player-related Wikipedia articles with all of the worldwide coverage of the tournament and its players. Let's keep the momentum going.

WOMEN IN SPORTS EDIT-A-THON FOR JULY + AUGUST!

WikiProject Women in Red is focusing on Women in Sports during their edit-a-thon for July & August 2019.

Get all the info here: Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/Meetup/126

Sign up and help fill in the gaps within various articles related to women's football / soccer - whether they be players, teams, leagues, historical, administrators, referees, etc. Every little bit helps. Be sure to tag your article talk pages with {{WIR-126}}.

These edit-a-thons are a great way to work with others to help bridge the gender gaps on Wikipedia. Thanks for your contributions!

Did you know...

WP:GNG takes precedence over WP:NFOOTY (which only includes the players in two currently active women's leagues)? Often times there is enough media coverage that meets WP:GNG or other notability guidelines. For more information, see WP:WOSO#Notability and be sure to tag the new article talk page with: {{WP Women's sport|footy=yes}}

Current and upcoming seasons for top-division leagues

I reverted your edit as it was unsourced and not an improvement to Leno. In popular culture sections are seldom ever a benefit to an article, not to mention problematic, uninteresting, and open to factoids. Many thanks. CassiantoTalk 22:14, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Why are you going from user talk, to user talk, to user talk, involving others? I thought we were off to ANI? CassiantoTalk 23:11, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Drop it, you can keep your article all for yourself, I've got better things to do now than try and make you see sense myself Cls14 (talk) 23:14, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
re this. I bought the books. I invested my time. I wrote it, along with Ssilvers, and we nominated it at FAC where we were successful. That's a damn sight more more than you have done. Good evening. CassiantoTalk 23:18, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It's a really good article. But the fact you think it's yours is incorrect and against Wikipedia's very own self understanding. I've created a Good Article and hundreds of other ones that aren't as important. Thousands of other editors have done way more than both than us. But they don't go trying to possess "their" articles do they? Cls14 (talk) 23:27, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
How do you know what I think? Only I know what I'm thinking and I do not think I own it. Sure, I consider myself to have stewardship rights, as it was me who wrote it, but then I think the same on the other 23 featured articles I wrote. Throwing OWN accusations around in the wake of a revert is classic troll behaviour; it does you no favours. I get you are annoyed, upset, disappointed with my stance on this...but it is just my stance, others may think differently, and that's why it's good to discuss things rather than war and fall out over them. You should not get all defensive about it; your behaviour and attitude here tonight is the catalyst for my "incivility", again, another classic accusation. Oh, and you really need to stop adding unsourced information to Wikipedia. Every assertion should be sourced, otherwise it falls into WP:OR and it will likely be deleted. CassiantoTalk 07:31, 18 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I can see from the history of this page that you have deleted stuff even if IT IS referenced because you don't like it. Anyhow we aren't going to agree, this is pointless. It's not the fact you deleted the edit that is annoying it's the fact you just deleted it and didn't leave a edit summary (thought you were good at following protocol). Also looking at the history of the article and talk page you are clashing with others on a semi-regular basis. Cls14 (talk) 07:55, 18 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Just because something can be referenced, doesn't mean it has to be included. I could've added Dan's favourite colour, favourite food, what his hobbies were, all of it referenced, but I didn't. The weight falls down on whether it is of benefit to the article. Sad to say, "in popular culture sections", in my opinion, aren't. That is why, when you are Bold enough to add something, and you have it Reverted, you should then Discuss the merits for inclusion. Having revertedq you, I came here to leave you a courteous message as what I wanted to convey wouldn't sit comfortable within an edit summary box. So you were angry I didn't leave you an edit summary, not because of the revert? Then you should've discussed it. Pretty simple really. You seem very quick to tell me how I don't seem to grasp the rules when all along it's you who doesn't seem to like it. CassiantoTalk 17:26, 18 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

August 2019

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits to Talk:Peaky Blinders (TV series) while logged out. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so may result in your account being blocked from editing. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. Neil S. Walker (talk) 17:33, 30 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Retired

I get that you're pissed off, but editing while logged out - as you did, for example, with User:2a02:c7f:2282:9800:79ba:4fc0:7cbb:4c26 and User:2A02:C7F:2282:9800:44CC:12D4:5F09:D378 - to make snarky points, just makes you look like a dick and makes it more difficult for you to return. Stop. Don't do it. It's obvious that it is you. Take a break - a long break if necessary - but don't burn your bridges. Neil S. Walker (talk) 02:05, 31 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, don't worry, I've given this joke up for good. Do you really think someone who has spent so much time and effort to this project would turn against it so easily. I wore the t-shirt and defended it to friends. But that's the past. The sad character Radiphus told me this project would be better without me. This https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Why_is_Wikipedia_losing_contributors_-_Thinking_about_remedies#Examples_of_problems tells people why this project is failing. They fail to make it mandatory to sign up to stop vandalism. I have thought long and hard about it but being insulted by Radiphallus was the last step. From being an advocate of Wikipedia I will now be someone who advocates it's inaccuracy and the fact that the minority bully others. Bridges are gone mate.
OK, received loud and clear. Enjoy online and offline life away from this place and best of luck with future endeavours. Peace out. Neil S. Walker (talk) 08:33, 1 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

James is my flatmate, I haven't do anything to deserve a blocking. I may have given up this account after 13.5 years but I don't want it to appear I've broken any rules! Cls14 (talk) 18:24, 1 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

This appeal does not address the obvious behavioural similarities between the accounts. MER-C 09:30, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This user is asking that his block be reviewed:

Cls14 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Hi there, I'm not quite sure why you think mine and James' accounts are similar. I don't know exactly how he edits but he edits irregularly and I edited on a daily basis. We edit different things as far as I am aware. We've been sharing an IP since November 2018 when we moved in together but before that we lived in different towns. Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:
