Justin Louis Raisen (born March 29, 1982) is an American songwriter, record producer, recording engineer, lyricist, and multi-instrumentalist who resides in Highland Park, California. Raisen's credits as a co-writer and producer include Sky Ferreira, Charli XCX, Sara Quin of Tegan and Sara, Mereki, Theophilus London, and Yadi.[1]

Producer and songwriter

In early 2011, MC Theophilus London released Lovers Holiday, an album containing two songs, “Why Even Try”[2] and “Strange Love” co-written by Raisen. On February 14, 2011, Raisen performed "Why Even Try" with Theophilus London on Late Night with David Letterman.

Raisen co-wrote six of the 13 songs on Charli XcX's debut album, True Romance released in March 2013. "Stay Away" [3] and "Nuclear Seasons",[4] were co-written by Raisen and received Best New Track on Pitchfork.com. The album was also reviewed as best new music on Pitchfork.com.[5]

Model and artist, Sky Ferreira, released her debut studio album Night Time, My Time on October 29, 2013 on Capitol Records. Raisen co-wrote and co-produced all 12 songs on the album along with Ferreira and production partner, Ariel Rechtshaid.[6] Single, "You're Not The One" and its music video,[7] directed by Grant Singer,[8] was released on September 24, 2013.
