Jack and Holly is a preschool animated series which is centred around two characters, Jack and Holly, created by husband and wife team Jezz Wright and Julianne Martin.[1] Jack and Holly are two best friends whose mission is to teach pre-school and primary school children about life's key moments. Holly is the big sister that Jack never had. She's always there to take Jack and viewers by the hand and lead them through life's moral maze with advice and guidance. Although it's never explained Jack has an asian look and skin colour whilst Holly has a typical 'English rose/caucasian ' complexion which implies some form of multi cultural dimension to the series concept.

The characters were originally introduced via a DVD series entitled Jack and Holly's Christmas Countdown.[2] Despite being primarily aimed at pre-schoolers, the books, CDs and DVDs are popular with older siblings and their parents due to the style of animation which is derived from machinima[3].

The series was written by Julianne Martin and Jezz Wright and is moderated by teachers, parents and pre-school children themselves. Proceeds go to children's charities and all products are NFP orientated. [4] Originally produced by Blockhouse TV before becoming self determined

Jack and Holly's Christmas Countdown

This DVD series is divided into 10 X 5 minutes episodes with extra features: Jack and Holly's Christmas Concert & Jack and Holly's Theme. This is a non-religious themed celebration of the spirit of Christmas and includes a number of early learning puzzles, songs and situations.

Jack and Holly's Album

"Jack and Holly's Christmas Top 10" was released on 21 Augsut 2010, aimed at children of all ages including parents. The album is updated and modernised versions of Christmas classics. Most of the tracks were featured in Jack and Holly's Christmas countdown DVD and were produced by Tom Richardson and Jezz Wright. Tom Richardson was also the Sound Designer for the DVD series. Track 4 was written by Tim Buxton who produced it alongside Jezz Wright.
