Smita Bakshi (স্মিতা বক্সী) is an Indian politician from Kolkata, West Bengal, India. She is also M.L.A of West Bengal Legislative Assembly. Elected from the 165, Jorasanko (Vidhan Sabha constituency) two times (term 2011 & 2016).[1] She is MLA of Jorasanko, Councillor of KMC Ward 25 & Chairperson of Borough IV, Working President of West Bengal Trinamool Mahila Congress.[2]

In the 2016 elections, Smita Bakshi of All India Trinamool Congress defeated BJP candidate Rahul Sinha came second by a very small margin.
