Brave is a new web browser, announced by the co-founder of the Mozilla Project, Brendan Eich. It aims to block website trackers and remove intrusive internet advertisements, and replaces them with ads sold by Eich's company. The browser also strives to improve privacy by sharing less data with advertising customers, targeting web ads through anonymized analysis of their browsing history instead. Brave also intends to pay 15% of the ad revenue to the browser users, which they can in turn donate to bloggers and other providers of web content through micropayments.[1] As of 2016, it is currently in version 0.7, and is in beta testing for iOS, Android, Windows, OS X, and Linux.[2]
