Anthro New Mexico is a planned all-ages annual furry convention which will take place in Albuquerque, New Mexico.[1]

History[edit]

Anthro New Mexico can trace its origins to an "impromptu fursuit photoshoot" hosted by three Albuquerque locals: Tetris, Victor Mutt, and Calamity Fox. This photoshoot spawned the ABQ Fursuit Group, and a series of bi-weekly furmeets in the Albuquerque area. Within one month, the Telegram group for the ABQ Fursuit Group grew to 80 members, which inspired Tetris, Victor Mutt, and Calamity fox to begin organizing Anthro New Mexico, both Albuquerque's and the state of New Mexico's first ever furry convention.[2] All three would go on to become the convention's president, vice president, and secretary, respectively.

Location and Timeslot[edit]

The first iteration of the Anthro New Mexico convention will take place on October 17-19, 2025. As of September 19, 2024 the organizers are still working to finalize hotel details.[3]
