When There Was Me and You is a song sung by Gabriella Montez in the Disney Channel Original Movie, High School Musical. After witnessing Troy telling his friends that she and music don't mean anything to him, Gabriella expresses her sadness and heartbreak, believing their relationship was a lie.

The song also appears on the Disney+ spin-off series, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series performed Ricky Bowen who plays an acoustic version of the song while practing with Gina and Nini watching and admiring his performance.
