"The Show Stopper" is an episode of Wander Over Yonder.
Synopsis[]
Wander joins Lord Hater onstage in a concert in an attempt to impress Dominator, while Sylvia and Peepers try to bring the never ending show to a stop.
Plot[]
Lord Hater has taken over a planet and forced the entire populace to listen to his band Lord Hater and the Harbingers of Doom. However, they only have been playing the one song about his greatness over and over again for four days straight. Commander Peepers begs Hater to stop, but he refuses as he is trying to get Lord Dominator's attention. He asks Hater if he has considered that Dominator hates rock and roll and he briefly switches to hip hop before going back to rock. Peepers spots Wander enjoying himself in the audience and offers him a golden guitar to play alongside Hater with, which Sylvia approves of as she too is tired of Hater's song.
Wander begins to play the guitar and to Peepers' surprise, discovers that Hater loves it and has him continue playing with him. Peepers and Sylvia form an uneasy alliance, resulting in the title of the episode changing to "The Show Stoppers". Peepers and Sylvia attempt to remove Hater from the stage, only for him to run back. They then try to get rid of the drummer to no avail and try to shut the power off, but Hater uses his electric bolts to power everything back on. Just then, Sylvia and Peepers have another solution. Disguised as groupies, they ask Hater to sing faster, in Spanish and backwards causing him to finally tire out and collapse from exhaustion.
Dominator's ship arrives as she begins to fire down on the planet. Wander begins to control Hater like a puppet and attempts to continue the song. With nothing left to lose, Sylvia and Peepers join in as well and Dominator stops to applaud them. However, it turns out that she was applauding from laughter as she found the song stupid, though only Sylvia and Peepers realize this. The group flee as Dominator continues firing down on them. As Wander and Hater excitedly come up with what they should do next with the band, Sylvia and Peepers demand that they stop as they fly off into space with Dominator in pursuit.
End credits[]
