Description Lot-805-18 (26-G-1836): Operation Husky - Invasion of Sicily, Italy, 9 July – August 17, 1943. U.S. Coast Guardsman Mortimer R. Spitalny and Paratrooper H. Brones look over a Sicilian newspaper onboard a U.S. Coast Guard manned transport participating in the invasion. They’re making Sicily’s -- and the world’s -- biggest news themselves.
