File:Toroidal coord.pn
Hi Dave. Would it be possible for you to produce another version of File:Toroidal coord.png which shows only the poloidal (red) spin direction? --Epipelagic (talk) 21:41, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you so much. Much appreciated. --Epipelagic (talk) 01:30, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, if it's not too much of a bother, would you mind to re-render the image with antialiasing? Thanks! Splette (talk) 16:55, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
- Done - note, the shadows are stratified because I have set up an array of lights to illuminate the torus
- Thanks. Somehow File:Toroidal coord poloidal only.png still seems aliased. But maybe a problem on my side? (I flushed the cache and refreshed though). Splette (talk) 23:13, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
- No, you were right I didn't have it on my 'make clean' script it should be fixed now, give me a heads up if it still doesn't look right
- Perfect, thanks. Splette (talk) 01:24, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

Hi Dave would it be possible for me to reproduce your image of the toroidal and poloidal magnetic fields in a magazine article which I am writing on nulcear fusion?
- Not sure who posted this but, sure of course! just let me know what article so I can read it!
Tip: Categorizing images
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.
[[Category:Category name]]
For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:
[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]
This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.CategorizationBot (talk) 10:40, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
