Dorfbewohner aus Tabqa 1961. Das Verhältnis war gut und wir sind schnell anerkannt worden. Einladungen waren sehr willkommen, um das Kennenlernen zu erleichtern. Der Bau einer Mauer war Gemeinschaftsache. Die großen Familien hatten viele arbeitsfähige Männer, und der Bau einer Mauer war ihre Sache. Mit dem Sammeln der Steine in der Wüste fing es an. Dann wurde ein Loch im Boden ausgehoben, wieder mit Sand verfüllt und mit Wasser vermengt. Da kein Stroh oder anderes Bindemittel vorhanden war, hat man sich so beholfen. Die Steine wurden, wie im Bild zu sehen, mit dem Sand-Wasser-Gemisch zu einer Mauer verarbeitet. Die Sonne vollbrachte den Rest.
