The storyline is interesting but the very violent 'detective' beating and shooting main characterson and on is hard to understand. Therefore from some 8 to 6 stars.

In this time of violence and anguish...

...still pictureshows like this can be made. Thank you everybody who created the positive and friendly atmosphere for us all to enjoy. No drunken, violent men but men challenged by all life brings before them. Not stereotypical female characters but warm characters to believe in.
Comforting, beautiful picture

I am so happy that this fairytale is told. It is like a grand apologize to Sharon Tate and her friends from all of us. Apologize against all disgusting in homo sapiens.
Cast and everything in this movie is professional if not perfect.

Why is this movie made/financed ?

There must be fundamental unprofessionalism in national financing of productions in Finland and, regarding this piece of tiresome crap, also on Germany. Dull, poorly directed and cut....could somebody explain why this was released at all ?
The Unknown Soldier

Perfect update of epic Finnish warnovel

Director Louhimies has succeeded in presenting Väinö Linnas' novel into 21st century and two more generations. Thank You to all who made this happen.
In Finland all too many lousy movies are released based on national subsidy -system. Their subsidy/number of viewers -ratios can be up to hundred euros. Aku Louhimies' 'Unknown Soldier' is wonderful exception, a total success with over million spectators in few months time only.

Nothing works

Even professional actors are drawn to level zero in this movie. Children do not deserve this. On the contrary, high professional level should especially be required when releasing movies to under aged to be enjoyed together with their parents and grandparents. There must be a fundamental problem in the national system giving financial aid to movies in Finland; this is the only way to comprehend that such a creation is released to the markets.
