Netflix’s One Piece sailed to the top of the original streaming series rankings in its first week of release. Suits, meanwhile, maintained its grip on the top of the overall charts.
One Piece, a live-action adaptation of the beloved manga and anime, delivered 1.31 billion minutes of viewing in the United States for the week of Aug. 28-Sept. 3 (it premiered Aug. 31). It ranked first among original series in the weekly rankings, bumping Who Is Erin Carter? (1.02 billion minutes) from the top spot.
The 1.31 billion minutes for One Piece equates to 21.85 million hours of viewing in the U.S. — a little under 16 percent of the worldwide total Netflix reported in its own top 10 rankings for the week. (Nielsen and Netflix use different methods to calculate viewing time.)
Suits racked up another 2.45 billion minutes of viewing on Netflix and Peacock and remained the top overall title in the rankings for the 11th straight week.

“You know what, you can go ahead and talk to her, I really don’t care,” she said to Brian. She then slapped him and stormed out. Their fight continued in the restaurant parking lot.

It was The Ultimatum twist no one saw coming. Lisa and Brian signed on for season 2 of the Netflix reality series in the hopes that it would help them figure out their future as a couple. And in a way, it did. After Lisa discovered she was pregnant, she and Brian opted to leave the show early rather than continue with the process.
The couple’s decision to quit filming The Ultimatum Season 2 after just two episodes stunned viewers, many of whom wondered what was really going on with the pair. The show didn’t provide any update on whether they ultimately split up or stayed together, and their social media profiles didn’t shed much light on the situation either. Fortunately, Lisa and Brian shared an update on their status after the show premiered.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 2.] The most dramatic moment of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 2’s first eight episodes came early on, when the original couple, Lisa Horne and Brian Okoye, got into a blowout fight in Episode 2. A double-whammy shocker came next: Lisa soon learned she was pregnant. She and Brian chose to leave the show prematurely as a result; co-host Nick Lachey announced the pregnancy and the pair’s departure to the rest of the cast at the Choosing Ceremony in Episode 3. During the first cocktail hour after the breakups, Lisa (who issued the ultimatum to Brian) didn’t like watching her ex-boyfriend spend one-on-one time with Riah (who received the ultimatum from Trey). She interrupted their harmless chat, and the fight devolved from there. While arguing outside, Lisa called Riah a “Hooters bitch” and a “dense-ass female,” despite only being on Day 2 of...

Netflix’s The Ultimatum is all about testing relationships. But for one season 2 couple, the experience proved to be too much. New episodes of the reality dating series dropped on August 23, and things got off to a dramatic start thanks to one person’s dramatic revelation.
[Warning: This article contains spoilers for The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 2.]
Lisa had second thoughts about signing up for ‘The Ultimatum’
One of five couples on The Ultimatum Season 2, Lisa, 31, and Brian, 28, have been together for almost two years. Lisa – the ultimatum giver – was ready to take the next step and get married. Brian wanted to wait until they were more financially secure. But was that just an excuse? Lisa feared it might be and worried she was “wasting” her time with her boyfriend.
“If he’s not ready to propose, then I’m ready to move on,” she announced in episode 1.
It was Lisa’s idea to go on The Ultimatum.

August has arrived, and with it, the last full month of summer-worthy shows and flicks, at least for 2023. From all the summer sensations to food weather, carnival fun and, of course, the lack of school, the streamer’s film slate will update with some appropriate flicks like “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2,” “Eat Pray Love,” “Despicable Me” and “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” respectively.
If you’re one of those who senses the change in the air as soon as the salty summer heat gives way to crisp fall fog, “Heartstopper” Season 2, complete with its cartoon drawings of leaves, waits for you starting August 3. “The Lincoln Lawyer: Season 2 Part 2” concludes the two-part followup to the legal drama starring Manuel Garcia-Rulfo. “Heart of Stone,” a big tentpole film starring Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan, promises action-lovers a good time.

The U.K.’s first gay dating show is about to air on BBC Three. “I Kissed A Boy,” fronted by Dannii Minogue, features 10 single men hoping to find love in a sunny villa in Italy.
Wait. Hang on. It’s 2023. How is this the U.K.’s first ever gay dating show? LGBTQ+ representation on television has changed immeasurably in the past decade — just look at E!’s “The Bi Life” and Netflix’s “Heartstopper.” It used to be that gay relationships were only explored after the watershed or in soap storylines, but these stories are now more mainstream than ever. Why has it taken this long for the U.K. to produce its first gay dating series?
Of course, British dating shows do feature LGBTQ+ contestants. Channel 4’s “First Dates,” MTV’s “Ex on the Beach” and E4’s “Married at First Sight” have all featured LGBTQ+ participants.

A contestant on the second season of Netflix’s “Love Is Blind” reality series is suing the streamer and the show’s producers, charging them with a string of labor-law violations, including fostering “inhumane working conditions” and paying cast members less than minimum wage.
The lawsuit, filed by Jeremy Hartwell, alleges “Love Is Blind” producers plied the cast with alcohol and deprived them of food and water — while paying rates that were below Los Angeles County’s minimum wage. The suit, filed in California Superior Court in L.A., names as defendants Netflix, production company Kinetic Content and Kinetic’s casting company Delirium TV.
“Mr. Hartwell’s involvement in Season 2 of ‘Love is Blind’ lasted less than one week. Unfortunately, for Mr. Hartwell, his journey ended early after he failed to develop a significant connection with any other participant,” Kinetic said in a statement to Variety. “While we will not...
